BUSINESS NEED

This prominent ISP is one of the biggest Gigabit Internet providers in Australia.

Their speeds are considered some of the best within the business grade offerings with great service over Fibre technologies.

THE CHALLENGE: The ISP wished to reach more customers where they weren’t able to reach with fixed line fibre cables and adopt a wireless topology whilst maintaining thier Gigabit service they have become renowned for.

SOLUTION

Implement Sigtel to help design a safe high frequency mmWave wireless network to maintain the fastest speeds possible. The team was also required to install all the related network components inorder to deliver a complete turn key solution for the ISP.

FINDING THE RIGHT SOLUTION

The ISP reached out to communications expert David Crawford, from SigTel Group, to find out how to implement thier cutting edge ideas and help deliver thier ambitious targets. He lent on his team of experienced RF Engineers to design a 60Ghz radio network capable of delivering the clients required outcome. Once the RF network design was ready David recommended using specific Fibre and Ethernet cabling solutions to provide the required speeds and power. First, they tested all the antennas to determine the optimal position to gain the best outcome in link capacity. Then, during the installation, the team of two installers focused on providing the best possible radio masts secured so they would allow radios to remain aligned even in the strongest winds. They then installed all of the required cable tray to secure the fibre and ethernet cabling, performed the fibre splicing and finally installed all of the required network infrustructure ready for final site commissioning.
